Root can only flash an old twrp recovery .. or boot loop

hi.

i recently changed my ROM to CM11 and all was good. my cotract with three.co.uk was due to expire so I unlocked the phone too. in order to do this I had to go back to a stock rom.

the problem now is that I cannot flash CM11 or 10 for that matter.

If i run a RUU i can get my phone running as before but once rooted again the only recovery i can get running on it is twrp2.2.1. Anything different flashed via fastboot just puts the phone into a bootloop.

in twrp2.2.1 it now allows me to try and install a rom and goes through the motions for a few minutes and says "successful" but then i get a boot loop again.

my HBOOT screen is thus:

*** UNLOCKED ***
VLE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
CID-11111111
HBOOT-2.15.0000
RADIO-0.16.31501S.17_2
Open DSP-v25.1.0.32.0405
eMMC-boot
Dec 14 2012.17:10:57:-1

Have I messed up my HBOOT or Radio somehow? I did get a bit flash happy and it looks like my HBOOT has gone forwards but my RADIO has gone backwards....!?

Before I started all of this my HBOOT screen looked like this:

**** TAMPERED ****
**** UNLOCKED ****
VLE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2. 12. 0000
RADIO-1. 11. 50. 05. 28
OpenDSP-v31. 1. 0. 45. 0815
eMMC-boot
Nov 20 2012, 15: 44: 03 -1

Any ideas? As I say, I can use RUU to get back to a working phone but nothing else from there will allow me to move forward with flashing a ROM.

Thanks
Don

sorry folks. sorted at last. found a more recent ruu online and flashed that.

RUU_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_Radio_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release_301814_signed_2_4

i'd obviously got myself into a pickle but this ironed out all the troubles.

was going to delete my question but can't see the facility.

cheers
don
