Help Can only stream via WIFI not 3G?

I have an SG3 with paranoid android ROM. I can stream via WIFI without any issue. However, if I switch to 3G a box pops up and says unable to play video ........Whats the problem? Anyone have a fix?

Which streaming app or whatever man?
Some (like 4oD grr) only allow streamin over wifi for some stupid reason.
Is your mobile net fast enough? (Over 1mb/s)

I am trying to stream footyreport.net via a live streaming APP. I have narrowed the problem down to a dodgy APN setting I think its dodgy part of the Paranoid ROM. As everytime I tick my carriers APN it unticks itself. I spoke to me provider and they assured me that streaming is not being blocked and indeed I managed to get it working last night, but it is intermittent. I think I am going to try and restore the SG3 ROM that I backed up before flashing, to see if that makes a difference. If not then its the phone :( -

I have just downloaded RIL from the playstore and it is showing incompatible RIL & BASEBAND. Yet when I download the correct one and install it, it still shows incompatible. I am betting that this is something to do with the Paranoid ROM perhaps?

I dont know mate. i find that removing "proxy" from your APN then Menu, Save, fixes a lot of issues like this and causes no problems. (Take a note of the proxy just incase)

Also some apps like Sky Go i think wont work on rooted phones. In PA dev options, is there an option to turn off root?
Most roms ive used lately have had it but i dunno if it helps with apps soz.
Good luck mate

I have just answered the other thread ;)

Proxy is blank.

I will have a look, if there is I haven't found it yet.

Thanks will keep you updated.

Got your other thread ;)
Remember though. A nandroid backup of your stock factory rom will still be rooted

**UPDATE**

It turns out that although the APN settings on the PA ROM were incorrect and had to be inputted manually, that wasn't the issue.

I managed to pinpoint the error to a flash problem. However, after installing Puffin all is working fine now.

Thanks again for all your help.
