Hi friendly folks!
I'm a Canadian who is currently with Virgin Mobile on a prepaid montly cheapy type plan (Virgin networks are run by Bell Canada) and recently got the Samsung Galaxy Gio.
I used to have an LG Bliss 'til it broke (it's being fixed) so in the meantime I got said Samsung Galaxy, and noticed that I cannot receive international text messages (at least from what I've seen so far). I can message someone in Asia, they will get my text almost INSTANTLY, but when they say they sent back, I get nothing.
So, I'm wondering: is the phone shyt, or is it the network? My old LG got int'l texts no problem at all.
Any tips, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I have called Virgin technical support (naturally their call centre seems to be 5000 miles away) and they said they'd have a tech look into it...I'm skeptical at best!!
