Root can someone get cracking on this? 4.1 lg

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42182876&postcount=43

In the xda nitro section TDM has already talked about trying to get 3.4 to work on P930 (and I assume our vs920's) source for the kernel will be released for editing on the 14th from LG. Just wait and I am sure we will have a working kernel. If it will fix our issues is still unknown as in the Quoted post by TDM you see he as already tried to run the kernel on CM10.0 with no luck.

TL/DR? Wait for source to come out ;)

Wait... we have an AOSP? I didn't think it was ever past a 'test but not really working'. All we have are CM/AOKP and stock roms.

thats how most of you all refer to aosp (cm, aokp etc), which are all based n closer to AOSP that OEM's in most cases. ;)

Ten built a fully pure aosp build... just cuz. Cm aokp and such are aosp but I thought they were pretty modified

Very true... I tend to think of AOKP, CM, PACMAN and all the others as variations of CM, than I do AOSP. I'd LOOOOVVVEEEE to have a pure AOSP. The one TDM started working on was smoother than a baby's a$$, but I couldn't get data working.

Dude... If you want... I can release a crap load of aosp ROMs if you guys want... I have a dev unit already... Just not much to do as tdm already has everything functional... Was gonna help out on the efforts to get the spectrum 4.3 once it hits... However... If you guys want I can have a crap load of aosp ROMs up and running

Hey the more roms the better go HAM on it and release as many as you can lol

Will do :p... Gonna grab as many sources as my HDD can handle.... Get to building and testing... Only thing is I can't test data as my unit isn't activated

I think you should take a look at cm 10.1 beta 4 and try to get the couple bugs worked out in that which are mainly just screen on delay of like 1 or 2 seconds, and the slight animation flicker (though the animation is still smooth, it just flickers to the previous screen really fast at the end of the animation).

Some aosp roms would be cool but I like the features of the cm style roms because they have tethering built in and the other customization.

Ive been running the official cm10 nightlies for a while... Those issues are fixed... That beta 4 is mad outdated... Only thing is the WiFi drain... My spectrum has an extended battery though that's close to death... I'll buy an OEM battery so I can see what's really up... But as it stands... With WiFi on... Battery drops like a rock... And charges extremely slow... Thought tdm fixed the issue so maybe it really is my battery that's screwed

Yeah. My WiFi doesn't kill my year old stock battery like that. Leaving WiFi on overnight I'll get maybe 1-1.5% drop per hour overnight

I'm definitely interested in an aosp. I'm on aokp milestone and love it, but I know aosp is smoother from the beta I tested of tdm.

IMU knows that beta 4 is outdated, but it's also the smoothest JB ROM we've had with the least number of issues. I second his suggestion to base builds off that, since every other one of our JB ROMs have Bluetooth, video, and battery drain issues, not to mention the various lag and reboot problems.

I thought tethering was part of google's code. IE: AOSP. I didn't think that tethering was something that the CM team coded in. I could be wrong...

I'm pretty sure that AOSP is only smoother becasue it's lighter. Once you start adding in features and such... It slows it down. Bloat is Bloat... Even if it is useful (and often necessary-ish) bloat. The stuff that gets added in is typically added in because people like features. I can't say that I've ever ran pure AOSP though, so it may not be missing much.

I'll be taking requests on ROMs... The one I'm currently working on is ShenduOS... Was the last ROM I was working on... I can give pure aosp a shot... But please remember not to rush me... I'm mainly an app developer so I'll be splitting my free time between ROMs and an app I'm working on plus I share my PC between my family... May be a week or two before I release anything but don't count on it

Also going to add my teams own touches into the ROMs I release... Just a few extra options that I've created over the weeks

Make it rock dude!!! I can't wait to try this. My biggest thing is A. Working Bluetooth and B. Decent Battery. But A in most cases can trump B at least for me. I can turn WiFi off.

Smmoovv nesss and BT

Let's Rock.

Just let us know when you are ready for testers
