Root can someone look it this plz

I've managed to tether but all I get out of it is browsing, if i try to download anything it hangs (phone to tablet though). I have not tried to my laptop in a while, but using Firefox (and maybe chrome now) there is a way to change user agents to a specific phone model and get it to work that way. Google "change user agent to tether on metro" and you'll find some info.
 
just a couple of months ago wen i bought my nexus 7,i had the prob tethering,but since zve update and asus changing my build number to one that ive nt seen yet,but ive gt it rooted and no matter wat tethering app i use i just cant figure it out,but ty very much superuser !!!! ps any info u can pass on,im open for all !!!

For tablets there is foxfi. Requires foxfi on you phone and pdanet or something like that on your tablet
 
yea thats wat ive got now pdanet on tablet,and it stated for me to install foxfi on fone and use bluetooth,they both locate each other but when it says there paired,i get no internet,ive not tried anything else,like waze,i use to use it on the nexus( bigger screen ) but i cant recall the tethering app i used before,i didnt have to use bluetooth or any cables,i think its the app that came on the rom because i recall just push to start tethering but doesnt find fone? guess ill jus have to tinker until i figure something out lol thanks bud

I use wifi tether for root from Muller & Braxton &??? Anyway i couldn't tether after the update. Re loaded/flashed many times. Finally figured out it was the tick for USB debugging. It affects wifi tether, titanium backup, & root checker basic.

I have no clue why. But that was the difference on my phone.
 
i installed it like brainz said,but still wouldnt work,so i installedpdanet+ on the fone ant tablet and now it works with bt,but only somethings will

may i ask did you update the build.prop maybe your build.prop is saying no and your hands is saying yes :D:smokingsomb:
