Can someone test this out?

Can someone test this out for me? Using the stock text messaging app, can you reply to a message or create new text and just enter one letter in the text field. Can you see a lighter color bar in the middle of the text box? It's very faint but visible. I never noticed it before.

Are you using a custom rom or theme? That particular symptom can be the result of an error when working with .9.png images (working in the draw9patch tool). Text boxes are .9.png's. If you are using a custom rom or theme, please let the author know about it and they can easily fix it.

Yes, I am using the Gingerbread Theme 0.1 with stock animations from here

Yeah, it's probably a developer oversight, .9.png's can be rather tricky. Show them your screenshot and ask if they can take a look at the textbox .9.png's, it's an error with the way the left patches were drawn in the draw9patch tool.

Thanks for the great info. I let them know and tried a different theme-the HTC Sense from the same thread, no bands. Thanks again.
