Can the bezel wear away?

I've heard plenty of stories about how easy it is to scratch or chip the bezel through dropping the phone, but could the bezel wear away with everyday use?

I want to take the case off my phone, but once had another phone with a similar finish and it didn't take long for the finish to wear away.

It's fairly easy to chip away to be honest, there's just a thin laquer coating over the plastic.

I've noticed on mine, that it's chipped away at the headphone socket, and also the S-pen has chipped away at where you pull it out with your finger nail.

Yes, I've made a note to try and avoid this on my next phone if possible :)
Would it be possible to say, wear it away by constant handling or putting it in and removing it from your pocket?

I'm sure it's hardy enough for handling, it's just once you chip it (which seems to be easy enough) then it starts looking a bit tatty.

Wear and tear, not much you can do about that I guess? except buy the next new model ;)

Thanks. I'm asking because my Panasonic wireless charger keeps losing the connection when I have my thin silicone case on, but works fine with no case.

In the past though, I had another phone with a similar finish to the Note's bezel on a 4-way navigation button. This wore away quickly and I didn't know if it was shoddy manufacturing or my grubby little mitts lol

I already have 3 minor scratches on the bezel so I just didn't want it getting any worse.

I had the same problem when using some of the thin silicon cases I've got with the note2.

I used a pair of scissors to carefully and neatly enlarge the hole on the silicon case to allow for the charger to click in properly, problem solved :)
