my ogevo has a bad charge port and since i replaced a cracked screen myself sprint will not fix my phone or replace it. i bought a phone off ebay and i know once i activate it sprint will push their latest update to it and probably render my phone unrootable. please tell me i am wrong!

Turn off updates in the settings. Its much easier to root the older hboots. If its not updated already.

Just remember to turn it off before the phone gets a chance to search for updates. It usually only takes a minute or two once activated. If you can turn it off before activation that would be best.
