Lurker
Alright i need to turn my phone s-on and it wont go to it i forget what i used to root it but now its back to stock unrooted and its still s-off... i have tried like 3 different s-on tools including unrevoked s-on tool... please help!! and dont forget i am unrooted so i can only flash pc36img files.... please help guys!! oh and i cant run A ruu.exe file because the problem with my phone is the computer says not recognized.. and yes debugging is on etc.. just not working at all...g

Well you arent unrooted if you have S-OFF. Unfortunately you did things out of order. You are supposed to get S-ON first and then run the RUU to get a stock bootloader, recovery, and ROM

What is your H-Boot number?

FYI, you can still put on a custom recovery at any time to flash things if you have S-OFF.. You aren't limited to PC36IMG files.

Welcome to the forums!!! :D

Rxpert hit the nail on the head. ;)

What we need is the hboot number and your radio version (baseband) just in case. Some ruu's need to have not only the hboot number correct it also needs the radio version to match. Hboot is the white screen with Andy riding a skateboard, after you hold volume down and power. Your baseband number is also listed on this screen.

I did the same thing.

HBOOT = 2.10.0001
RADIO = 2.15.00.11.19

Any advice?

Thanks!

I'm on my phone, so I can't link you the files. :(

With that hboot you need to use Unrevoked. I'll need to check the radio version for that ruu, but off the top of my head that one looks right. Check out the original rooting for dummies guide by Matlock in the all things root forum. Follow those instructions. I was going to move this thread over there, but thought better of it.

If it still isn't working just post back with what you have done, everything you've flashed. Don't worry, we'll get you fixed up. :)

Thanks, I'll take a crack at it this afternoon and let you know how it goes...

Used the rooting for dummies guide, Unrevoked worked like a charm, then followed the unrooting section (and turned s-on BEFORE flashing stock back this time) and problem solved. Super simple. Thanks again for the help!

Awesome sauce! Glad it worked. :)

Also thank you for posting back and letting us know what finally worked for you. ;)

If you have any questions anytime, just stop back in. :)
