Help Can you change the Start-Up Sound?

Is there a way to change the start up sound on an unrooted Optimus S? I want to have sound but that bird chirping sound is kind of annoying. I read you can only do this on rooted phones?

You can at least make it go away:

Disable annoying startup sounds!
Silent Boot mutes your Phone on shutdown to keep it silent on boot and restores previous volume settings after startup.
