Accessories Can you recommend bluetooth stereo headset?

So I just got mine from amazon and it looks as if they were returned. There are no extra rubber pieces, the plastic bag that they came was torn apart. Can someone tell me what exactly should be in the box? Also it looks as if I got some bits of earwax as a bonus!

I'd send them back. I don't remember there being a plastic bag they were in.. but no ear wax with mine. :D

Got my lightly used Rocketfishes today and they are now my new favorite gadget accessory. Great sound. Good frequency response. Nice listening modes. Ridiculous range (I walked around my office ~50 feet away and not a hickup). Looks like my sweaty headset jack problem is solved!

I got the Samsung WEP870 on Amazon. Works perfectly but I can't manage to get it remotely control the music player. Anyone successful with that?

I'm pretty sure this headset is not made to control the music player. Only the volume up and down.

In the manual there is a note that specifies it can function as a music player remote control (play, fw, rw etc) if the cell supports it.

yeah i didn't bother to open the manual up. I don't see how it can possible do this though. all it has is a toggle off/on and volume up and down control.

If you figure it out let me know!

I tried the headset with an iphone4 of a coworker and I figured out what Samsung meant. If the headset is paired with an iphone4 and the music player is on, if you press the headset call button it asks you to input a voice command. You can use it to switch artist, album, forward/rewind, switch playlist, place a call etc., and basically gain full remote (voice) control of the app. I must admit it's a neat feature. I need to find an Android music player that incorporates voice commands. There must be one.

have you found a compatible android player yet?

i have the aliph jawbone 2 and i love it.i go through headsets like crazy so I'm hoping this one doesn't disappear too soon.

Found this deal on Amazon last week. Its a BlueAnt z9i OEM packaging, but it came with a wall charger, USB cable, extra ear hook (clear plastic) and extra ear bud.

I had the original z9 a couple years ago, which I loved. Though most people claimed they couldn't understand me, when I was driving a truck (I have a commercial license and drove 18 wheelers - tankers). So I ditched it for a Jawbone.

However, what I always like about the BlueAnt, over other earpieces, was the volume on my end. The BlueAnt was so loud, you actually had to turn the volume down.

Back then, I paid close to $100 for that earpiece.

So imagine my surprise to find the updated version of the z9, the z9i for $24.99. I was kind of suspicious, because I hadn't heard of the seller, but they had good feedback. Earpiece arrived within a week of ordering, perfect... brand new condition. This thing kicks @ss. Everyone I've talked to so far and I used 2 separate noisy environments (a buffet diner and the mall)... people have said they heard me crystal clear... and I was talking at a normal level, even lowered my voice a bit, for privacy several times.

Here's the link, if anyone wants to grab one.

Oh yeah... it also comes with the latest firmware on it. One of the nice things about BlueAnts, is the ability to update the firmware. Unfortunately, since I'm running a 64 bit version of Windows 7, they don't have the software for it yet. They expect to release it however, sometime in October. But, since its already up to date... I can live with that.

I really like the Rocketfish RF-MAB2. Have had really good luck with them. Use them for running, gym, and casual. Haven't had problems with sweat and they do stay in place. A little difficult to wear with sunglasses, but they still work.

I agree. I have two pairs and they are great headsets. The sound quality is excellent and hold a charge all day long. On the con side, after about a year, the mic went out on one, but everything else still works. I got mine on ebay for about $30 to 40$.

If you don't mind the behind the ear type, the Plantronics Voyager 510 is excellent. Sound quality is great and it stays in place even when I'm jogging. I wish the Captivate had voice dialing from bluetooth. That would make it perfect.

moto headset is good

I just got my new Jwin JBTH710 Bluetooth headset and I'm pretty impressed. They cost me $22.99 through a third party from Amazon. They are behind the head type. I don't think they would fit to well if you have a big head since they are non adjustable. They run the Captivate music with start, stop fast forward and rewind. They also have a volume control. You can answer and talk on the phone. Overall seem to be pretty nice.

I use the Motorola S9 HD bluetooth headset and I love them.

I love my S9 HD and I also have a sweatproof pair of Motorola S10 HD's. I have to say that I like the fit of the S9 better, but for the gym and working out in the yard I use the S10. I use the S9 at work all day and it did take some time to get use to something in my ear all the time but it's worth the money.
