I got the non rooted gingerbread on my droid 2 and tried to re-root it. Needless to say no matter what I did trying to flash the sbf it just did not work. I tried so many times and did everything I could. So I tried to flash it using adb. I used this guide: How to root the Droid 2 - xda-developers
When I got to this step is where I hit problems.
./rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin
- let the process run until it 'kicks' you out (may take a minute or two) to c:/Droid2Root
- cd c:/wherever-your-sdk-tools-folder-is
All of that above completed and "kicked" me back out. Whenever I try to use adb to see my device after this, it does not show up. Its like the phone just comes unconnected from the computer but it doesn't. If I turn the phone off and unplug it and plug it back in, then it shows up. I cannot get past this step now and I was wondering if it was an issue with gingerbread or can someone help me finish this?
