hiiiiiii! :)

Since there are so few of you and I don't know who you are...

did you get the 4.1.2 update yet??? do any of you know when it should roll out?


non-canadians can respond too if you know how I can find out when this update should grace this abandoned country. :)

oh... silly me... thats what i meant... 4.1.2!! i thought for a second early in the morning that it's the 4.1.1 that we are waiting for...

ok... so next week? thats awesome... where is a link to this, if you dont mind?
 
It looks like TELUS has it prepared and is now waiting for Samsung to push it. I just checked mine and no update yet. Hopefully it'll be soon. Especially since TELUS splashed it on their update page.

thanks. so does/will the device prompt the user to this update? in essence, how would the casual user (not a forum follower perhaps) know to upgrade? thanks again.

edit - just checked via settings-about device. says up to date...so no update as yet for rogers. :D

If you checked the box to be notified of any updates, you will receive a notice. I had a Rogers Note and when it got ICS, it was automatically downloaded and informed me it was ready to be installed. No need to keep an eye out for it 24/7. ;)
 
is there anywhere to read up on this pending update? like an official site?

asking only as i read the verizion update thread started yesterday. quite a few seem to have issues with performance post update. even bricking of rooted phones.

I think it will be difficult as the carrier puts out its own bloat (ie. garbage) into it that might cause the issues in the first place. I know when the Note received ICS, some Notes acted poorly to the point where some needed to be exchanged for another.
 
It'll be interesting to see who gets pushed first. I know when ICS was rolled out to the Canadian Notes I got mine on the day of the roll out. It was a Rogers Note.

Guess it's time to prep my device for the update.
 
I'm on Rogers. I woke up this morning to find the update. Jelly Bean 4.1.2 now installed and I'm enjoying my multi window.
 
Just turned on my Telus Note II and got the already downloaded and ready to install notification box. Currently running some backups on it and then do my standard hard reset, install and hard reset again.

I always believe in clean installs and it's about time I cleaned my device from the amount of apps I installed and installed. LOL.
