Help Cannot add 1 (out of 3) Gmail accounts

Got a new phone, successfully added 2 of 3 of my gmail email accounts no problem.

tried to add my third (and oldest) but get "authentication error"
I logged in with browser, changed the password, still nothing.
Eventually I got some access I think via POP, but I wanted it to show up as my other accounts do, so I removed that and re-tried by adding as a "gmail" account ... but it gets
"Authentication failed, please check username/password"
I am using the full @gmail.com as my login and I can see the PW is correct




HTC Droid Thunderbolt, Android 2.2.1

Ok, issue is "resolved"
the weird "Mail" that comes with Thunderbolt is not realy Gmail but something that does all kinds of mail. My account wont work from that application (just the 1 account)

Last night, when I tried to add multiple Google accounts (not under mail but in the accounts section) it only took 1 out of 3

Solution:

Re-add those two under "accounts" (not Mail)
Remove the silly "Mail" application and replace it on my desktop with "Gmail"
All now works.
Pretty silly
