Help Cannot connect on wifi... Galaxy Tab

Ok, I didn't have that particular problem with the Tab but with my Meizu MX in the home-network of my Mum. Everthing else worked except my Meizu.

the Setup:
Router: TP-Link
Phone: Meizu MX-4core
OS: Flyme 1.1.6 (ICS Manufacturer Version)
At first I thought it was the Router because it worked just find with my old Belkin. I tried most things in this thread but none of them worked. I do have MAC-Filtering on but all devices are registered so I didn't take a closer look at it until just now. Couldn't get past my Range extender with my tab 2.
laptop and digital reader were fine through the extender on to internet.
From bits and pieces picked up in this thread, I tried the following and it worked.
After I accessed my router 192.168.2.1, I noted the range of I P address'
Also noted the I P address assigned to my range extender.
On my tab 2 Settings, Wifi held my finger down on connetion that wouldn't connect and it displayed Modify Network Configuration, selected that checked Show Password, Show Advanced Options that then allowed me to gently scroll further down to reveal further settings.
Found Proxy Settings and IP Settings, I changed the IP setting to Static, then further down I could see, the setting was different than what was assigned in the router.
I changed the setting in the tab 2 to match the router setting and bingo. It worked.
Hope this helps.

A was surprise that last night my Galaxy Tab doesn't connect to wifi... while my Galaxy S is connected... I didn't remove anything from my Tab but all it appears is "Obtaining IP address but it doesn't connect...:(

need your help... thanks...
I had to reset my Samsung Tablet to factory default settings, that fixed the problem of not connecting to my WiFi. You lose everything that you have in your tablet, pictures, documents, etc, so you need to be able to retrieve this information from back-up.
