Help Cannot connect to bluetooth car phonebook properly?!

Just got a new Kenwood headunit with bluetooth included, when i try to pair my phone it pairs fine etc

However i cannot get access to the phonebook from the headunit and i cant dial numbers........

Does anyone know how i can get it to show my phonebook or if theres a setting on the phone which allows me to transfer my phonebook?

Seems a bit odd that an android phone wont allow me to connect properly.

The headunit does play music from the phone over bluetooth though, all seems a bit weird

I have a bluetooth stereo in my car and sometimes stream music to it over bluetooth. Tried it this morning for the first time since gingerbread update and found that while I can stream music fine, I can't skip tracks using the stereo like I could before. I'm thinking this may be the same problem ...
Have you just updated to gingerbread recently?

Yeah mate, although i never had this stuff in my car before it so cant comment on what it was like before i updated
