Help Cannot delete contacts stored on my sim

When I put my sim card into my phone when I bought it, it has only displayed around 7 of my 60+ conatacts which were stored on my sim.

I have tried managing this on HTC Sense, but like everyone else most of the features are not working for me.

I do not however have any idea how to delete the contats off my sim or just change settings to make sure my sim conacts are not displayed in my contact list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I *think* that I used my spare Nokia cheapo phone to delete them as a Nokia differentiates between SIM card and phone contacts and allows you to choose either/or.

Thanks Dave, I put my sim in my old phone and deleted them all off there (reluctantly) but it has worked and now they do not show up.
