I successfully rooted my L9 and I then started getting rid of all the crapware. I then started deleting (via Titanium Backup) system apps, such as YouTube, Google Maps, Google Music, Google Talk, Amazon, and then reinstalled them via Google Play so that they were now non-System apps and residing on my SD card. So far so good. I then did the same with the Google Search App. The deletion went fine. I then tried to download it from the Play store and it won't let me. It tells me to select another device. I've tried downloading it from the Google Play icon on my phone and it won't even show as being available. I have done some online research into this and I've tried clearing my cache and data for the Google Play Store app followed by a phone re-boot. Still the same. My "All" list of apps in the phone's Google Play list doesn't show the app as being installed. Does Google somehow have a record of this being a system app and therefore a download is not an option? Why did it let me do it for other Google system apps, such as Talk, Maps, Music, etc.? Does anyone have any suggestions on either how to fix this, or if that's not possible, how to manually get Google Search back on my phone via alternate methods?
