Cannot download torrents

Ok guys being a noob and all please bear with me. I used to have an optimus elite. All I had to do was download the kat.ph app and poof! Free music movies games apps books etc. One day outta nowhere it stopped working. It is no longer available on the play store. I got the Ring and utorrent and every different app I could think of for torrents. TPB, KAT, you name it. Not a single one works. No matter what app I use or how I download the torrent, I cannot get past 0.0% downloading.
Please Gods and Godesses of phone magic, help out a noob! Much thanx and gratitude.

It could just be your carrier blocking torrent downloads (most of which are illegal, you know).
