Help Cannot edit calendar events

Hi,

I have a problem with calendar app. This problem was appeared after previous phone update to Android 4. Previously I was be able to edit events in calendar. But now I cannot do it. If I create new event I cannot edit it immediately. If I have old event created in previous Android version I can edit it only once.

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums avorobjovs! :)

Try going to Settings > Accounts and sync > your gmail account and > Remove Account. Then re-add your account and see if this helps.

Thank you, but it doesn't help unfortunately. I have calendars events in local calendar only, not in Google or others.

This problem was appeared after previous phone update to Android 4.0.3. Previously I was being able to edit events in calendar. But now I cannot do it. If I create new event I cannot edit it. If I have old event created in previous Android version I can edit it only once. There was an "Edit" menu item in the event context menu. But it disappears now for new events. Only "Delete" and "Send Via" menu items appear.
See screenshots now it looks:

But this problem is more widely than my own. See Google issue 35877

To be honest, I hadn't experienced this problem as I use Touch Calendar from the Play Store, which is better for my use. Judging from your link, it does appear to be a shortcoming in the Samsung firmware on Android 4.0.3 and 4.0.4. Lets hope they rectify it in Jelly Bean.

I can edit just fine. Although the calender is using google. Not sure if that makes a difference. Have you tried backing up the calender, then clear the cache and data off the calender app. After that restore the backup and see if that helps.

Just an idea.

I've just started using the GS3, with Google calendar. From my laptop, I enter the event (including uploading and attaching a contract). However, when I access the event from my phone, there is nothing to allow me access to the attached document. Any ideas, please? I've tried every phrase/search I can come up with, and can't seem to find an answer online.
