Root CANNOT figure out the cricket recovery ROM!!

please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I downloaded the recovery ROM for cricket to my desktop, transferred it to my SD card/phone, tried the settings route and tried to update software through the SD, failed. Hard reset, update/unpacking 1of2 failed. Flashing lights. I have got to be doing something wrong. Maybe im messing up zipping or unzipping the ROM. I got in this position by Z4 rooting and accidentley deleting some stock apps that I shouldnt have. Now, no market (server down) and no google syncing, and ALL of my apps are gone. I can still use internet talk and text though..

Unzipped or extracted is how I think my winrar program put it. Extracting to sd card the same? If im looking at the ROM after dload to my cpu, where do I go from there or did I do that right? Thanks .

future refs, never extract and update leave it as a .rar file unless its stated by the devs and testers...but easy way to get back to stoc is fastboot restore instead of an nandroid restore...

maybe im having same problem. i have downloaded cricket stock recovery and tried placing it on my card in every way possible. no success. got froyo update and no service now trying to revert back

there is a much faster way to do it, but you need root explorer pro or astro file manager, first you can do either two things download it on your computer or download on your phone either way, i prefer downloading it on the computer and transferring it to the phone. put it on the sd card, then go to root explorer and you can extract the file from there, go to extract go into the file and pull dload and huawei manual move the dload file and the huawei manual to the sd card main section. then turn off the phone and now you are able to do a hard reset.

Not to sound d***headish, but how is that faster than downloading it and unzipping on the computer, then copying it to the card?

because alot of the the zip files you download on the computer have to be extracted and alot of people not tryna download something on to their computer just to extract something else, and besides alot of that s**t cost, believe me i know, and also root explorer have free extraction so its way more simple, anywho.... download the cricket stock package on your phone and yes there is a link on here to find it, go to root explorer, extract it from downloads, go to extract, move the file dload to the main sd card section and do a hard set, simple instructions and faster to the non- slow people not tryna be d**kheadish... toodles:D:D:D
