Root Cannot flash rom

Ok, so I have booted into recovery, wiped dalvik cache and other cache and system data, and when I go to install .zip from sd card and select the rom, it gives the message
"cannot open /......
bad
Installation aborted"

Any idea what I need to do?

I'm trying to flash incredibly re-engineered 2.3.2
I have hboot .92

Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Either using the wrong recovery or have a bad rom download. Make sure that rom supports your version of clockwork or redownload the rom.

I redownloaded the rom, tried it again and it still gave me the error.

I'm using CWM 2.5.1.2

My version of CWM is supported in this rom, just checked, its the 3.xxxx that isn't. I don't know what to do.....

So I downloaded incredibley re-engineered v2.3.2 and v2.4 and both give me the same error message....

Should I try upgrading CWM 3.xxxx

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm a noob at all this.... If I upgrade CWM will I still be able to access my previous recoveries? (my original recovery won't work actually, gives me a MD5 sum error, so I backed up again during all this....)

Decided to try another rom- skyraider 3.5 and got the same message.....

I don't know what to do.....

3.0.0.8 is supported on this ROM. How are you flashing? via recovery or Rom manager? Some people need to wipe more than once. Try wiping 2 or 3 times and flash through recovery if you're not already.

Thanks for the reply, I am flashing through recovery, still CWM 2.5, I had a spare SD card lying around so I just tried to flash using it, and it did not work. I still get the "E:Can't open/sdcard..... (bad) installation aborted

This last time I wiped twice and still no dice. I guess I'll try CWM 3.0 and see if that works... Will my backups still be compatible with then new CWM?

SOLVED!! It was my sd card. I got a sandisk off of newegg and now I am in ROM flashing euphoria!
