Root cannot get root

I installed the ICS leak RUU latest version. Everything went off ok. I would like to get root. So I followed the instructions in scotty85's noob guide to root ie flash the superuser 3.0.7 file to get root. Somehow it didnt work. I downloaded updates from the market, and installed SU as well, but no luck.

I went back into recovery, and developer options, and installed/fixed superuser from there. No luck.

Wifi tether complains, SU update binary fails. Root CHeck basic says "system running very slow", and that phone does not have proper root.

answered in the root guide thread. 3.0.7 does not work in ICS,use this one: [21.06.2012] SuperSU v0.92 - xda-developers
