good morning gang....

Im new to the incredible phone (former BB tour), and cannot seem to get the alarm/clock to appear in the ignore list of the advanced task killer.

its driving me nuts (ive unchecked it from the kill list), and im unsure what to do.

any advice on the settings of this to help me arrive to work ontime?

great forum.....

much thanks

REMOVE ATK

you do not need it,and it causes MANY problems...

Not just the alarm, but folks have had issues with sync'ing, contacts, e-mail, handcent, etc

half the threads where people have wierd issues, it turns out their running some sort of task killer...

thanks for the reply!

in leu of the ATK, how do i manage apps that seem to constantly run (city, etc).

im not even sure im closing apps half the time...

green=me.

Okay....

ive uninstalled the ATK, and am trying the system panel. hopefully i can see whats-what, and also wake up on time.

fingers crossed.

You could also download an app called Spare Parts that will also give you an idea of what apps are hogging the CPU and battery.

on a follow-up, the removal of the task killer solved it. also, using system panel really shows me how the phone caches programs automatically. i dont kill any of them anymore, and with the 1750 battery i am over 24 hrs between charges.(med usage)

thanks again.
