Root Cannot go into Recovery

I want to install a new Rom on my HTC Desire, and i have rooted my device. When i boot into Recovery, i get the following options: Bootloader, Reboot, Reboot Bootloader and Power Down.

I chose Bootloader and then i can choose between Fastboot, Recovery, Clear Storage and Simlock
When i select 'Recovery' the HTC logo appears and than it just goes back to the homescreen of -Revolutionary-

ROM Manager tells me this: Current Recovery: ClockworkMod 5.0.2.0

I assume you're able to boot normally? Have you tried reflashing Clockwork Mod through ROM Manager? Can you manually boot into recovery by Volume down + Power button?
Also, I'll move this to the Root forum.

Actually on the Desire I'd really not recommend ROM Manager - it has caused a lot of problems. There is a sticky thread in this forum warning people not to use it.

If you can now get to recovery via the bootloader, then that's great, just use recovery that way and leave ROM Manager alone. If you still cannot get into it then you can use fastboot to flash a new recovery image - see the ADB and Fastboot FAQ, linked from the All Things Root Guide sticky post.
