I download a file sometimes from my computer and put in the root of sd card sometimes from my phone directly . I open Astro find that file go to app manager and it and it says : could not open (directory) as apk file . I have got Unknown Sources on. Its rooted. Any help will be appreceite.

From my understanding this would generally mean that there is either an issue with the apk file or that the application you have downloaded is not compatible with the phone/android version you are running.
