Help Cannot Obtain IP address How do I do Stock Recovery?

My phone keeps saying "aquring IP address" and it never aquires it. How do I do a stock recovery? Should I use the downgrader? http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus...-downgrade-pssst-look-here-if-you-do-lol.html

None of these seem to apply to my situation. What do I do?

Stock recovery:

- Power off phone
- Take out and reinsert battery
- Hold Power, Home, and Volume Down buttons until device powers on.

- Take out and reinsert battery
- Hold Power, Home, and Volume Down buttons until device powers on.

That is a factory reset and totally screwed up my handset. I was able to recover though, once data came back up. I installed astro, ran some apps, did some restores, and I was okay.
