Root cannot open the usb serial port code 32

trying to root my prevail using odin :smokingsomb:and always get cannot open the usb serial port code 32 tried everything to fix it anyone come across this :mad:
 
are the drivers installed correctly? using the proper odin that comes with the download? tried a different usb port? ect.... tells us more, never heard of that code?
 
installed samsung drivers mutiple times from the odin download found in the prevail tread its a ff19 2.3.6 do i have to downgrade it first
 
That was the code I was getting and I changed to a different USB port. That work once them the next time... Nothing. Now I can't even charge my phone and had to get a universal charger. :( I should've done more reading.
 
Open your Device Manager, then "View / show Hidden Devices" and check under ports or USB how many USB's you have listed there.......... If your comp has like 3 USB ports, but there are 10 or more listed in device manager, you need to unistall them all, reboot and have your comp detect the correct ports again.

1) Disconnect your phone from the Computer
2)Open Device Manager
a)Go to Start Devices and Printer.(Windows 7)
b)Then right-click Device Manager.(Windows 7)
3)Look Down at Universal Service...
4)Expand it and look at USB Composite Device.Right-Click on it and Uninstall.
or
5)Uninstall everything in there.
6)Connect Device Open Odin and Enjoy:):):):):)
