Cannot play films

[Mr Bassman]

I have a HTC Desire. How can I get it to play full length films? I have used Handbrake to encode to mp4 file format but the Desire does not recognise or refuses to play. Music videos can be encoded but it is sometimes hit and miss as to the success.

I've been using the following settings without issue, although I haven't encoded anything longer than about 45 minutes.

Container: MP4

Picture Size: Leave unchanged

Video Filters: All off

Video: Mpeg4, Same FPS as source, Avg Bitrate ranging from 400 to 600

Audio: AAC 96kbps

Try Videora for the ipod touch (free) - Haven't had anything that won't play yet. (Using default settings each time). Converted file approx 2/3 of original file size.

Many Thanks, these settings are working with everything I have encoded. Next step a full length film.
