I cannot screenshot my HBOOT screen, but here is what i will type:
Bravoc DVTZ Ship S-ON
HBOOT 1.06.0000
MICROP-051e
TOUCH PANEL-SYNW0101
RADIO-2.15.00.11.16
DEC 22,2010, 16:16:39
Phone Carrier: U.S. Cellular CDMA
Do i have proper DATA plan/other essentials? Yes
Have i tried putting manual HBOOT into driver Android 1.0 when shown as missing device once i go into HBOOT screen from volume down+power? Yes.
Have i tried PdaNet? Yes
What program have i been using? Unrevoked 3.32.(or latest in other terms).
I have Android 2.2 Froyo installed on my phone, however i have heard of many people whom got the root to work. What they seemed to have done is switch out HBOOT drivers by finding driver when 1.0 device is shown as unknown. However i have done this, and it still shows 1.06, and a NAND flash error.
I have contemplated formatting my phone, but research proves that to be pointless, since i would still have 1.06, or FROYO update. And NO, i don't want to make my SD card a goldcard. With the mast amount of instructions and in/outs with my PC+Phone i cannot risk damaging anything. Although i have no problem taking a risk rooting my phone other ways.
Many places i go to try to root Desire are not fully compatible unless it's with unrevoked. By this i mean, when i root my desire i want it to be permanent not temporary, and unrevoked is the only program that can promise that, and be the safest at the same time.
So basically I'm asking is, what is the exact issue I'm dealing with here? Do i need to do something extra, and if so what would help? I've seen step by step instructions by others, BUT it seems they all do it from 2.1 android, NOT 2.2, which kind of defeats the purpose of a step by step guide for rooting an android 2.2 phone.
If anybody could help i would greatly appreciate it, and hopefully this will benefit people with the same issue as mine. As of now, i cannot find a legitimate fix for this online(this exact problem at least), so maybe it would help a lot of people including me out.
Thanks so much.
Below is attached picture of the driver i manually put in.
