Cannot save new contacts

Following the quick start guide on how to save a new contact, I saved a new contact to the Phone memory. However, after clicking on "Save", the contact does not appear in the contact listing. I have already selected "Phone" and "Sim" options in the View menu. Even the search function cannot locate the new contact. I have also tried restarting the phone...

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

not sure sorry, I didnt read the quickstart guide, but it may be worth turning the phone off and rebooting it.

alternately, you can get your contacts on the phone by exporting them from outlook or livemail as a .csv file and then import that into googlemail. you can then sync your phone contacts to googlemail to get them on the phone.
