Help Cannot see SD card on PC

Hey peeps, just came from a BB Bold... I hooked up DINC2 to my PC and I downloaded the HTC sync software, but when I open the phone through my computer I cant seem to access the SD card for storage? What am I doing wrong?

There should be an option for something like USB Mass Media mode or something, and that should work fine too. Haven't had any issues here with that mode, nor the media sync mode either.

If you want to use your phone to transfer files to the SD card you don't need HTC Sync. Just select "Use as Disk Drive" on your phone when you plug it into the USB port.

I guess I dont know where your having the problem ... so here is step by step how I do it ... hopefully it helps.

1.. Plug usb end of provided cable into PC

2.. Plus macro usb end of provided cable into phone, your computer may now try to find drivers ... this is not important.

3.. Pull down Notification bar on phone ... should look like this:

4.. Click where it says "Charge Only" ... should now look like this:

5.. Click where is says "Disk drive" then "Done" at the bottom

6.. A Windows Explorer window should open with the phone drive open. If not, open Windows Explorer and there should a Removable Disk available, thats your phone.

If these steps dont work ... let us know where it stopped working

I have the same issue with HTC Desire S - cannot get PC to show me the SD Card, keep seeing the phone memory only. Tried various programs, different ways of working with the USB settings on the phone, but no luck. Have been trying to backup my SMS messages from old phone etc, but just cannot place them into the proper place on SD Card because I cannot access it. Please help! Thanks a ton.
