Root Can't access Recovery

I was flashing a new Rom using ROM Manager. Somehow the phone got stuck between wiping and flashing. It got suck on a black screen with a white border. Every time I try to get to recovery (power, volume down) I get stuck at the same place. I have wiped the SD card and tried to use bootloader to install a new recovery. Not working stuck in same spot. do still have access to the SD card and can do Bootloader. When the phone boots up with what is left of the ROM that is on it I get an error message about inconsistent UID's. As for me I am a serial ROM flasher who s good with phones (Eris then Incredible) but I am not a programmer. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like you are flashing the wrong recovery, what version are you trying to flash? needs to be at least 2.5.1.2

I was using CM 3.0.7 when it got stuck. Now I can not get it to load. By pressing vol down/power I can get to the screen that says bootloader/recovery/etc . It will do bootloader, but when I pick recovery it locks up. If I could just get to recovery and wipe this phone life would be back to normal.

anoyone have a link to the most recent RA Recovery?? I think if I put on the SD Card and load it in fastboot, I should get recovery access
Thanks

Thanks for the help sdrawkcab25. Downloaded the most recent Cmod 3.0.0.8 renamed it PB31IMG.zip put on sd card. go into fastboot (power/volume down) and it is saying no image file. The freaking thing goes so fast I cant read it. What am I doing wrong?? I also vow once I get a good stable ROM to stick with it.

okay that did not work either. this sucks. After loading the image on to sd card. In emulator I typed it in correctly. Instead of getting nothing as it said I should of got(using unlockr) I got flash_image.img or something like that. Reboot into recovery, get White HTC Incredible screen then it locks up in a black screen with white bars on each side.
