can't activate ota manually

hey, new android user here (coming from winmo... good riddance!).

i can't seem to manually activate ota updates via setting>system updates. i get to system updates and all the options are grayed out not letting me check for updates manually; nothing happens/appears when i tap it. am i missing something here?

Make sure you have a good WiFi or 3g signal. Make your battery is fully charged make sure you're not tethered to your computer and that you're not using your WiFi hotspot feature. See if those things help
