Help Can't click some links

I have an Incredible2, which has been acting very strangely lately. Certain links just don't seem clickable. For example, if I am in the Play store and trying to download an app, clicking the "install" button does nothing. And if there is something that is clickable below the install button, even if I am clearly clicking "install", it will instead select what is below that. This happens even if I am in the phone settings and trying to click an option there. It doesn't happen always but often enough that it is driving me mental. I know this sounds like an odd problem, but has anyone else experienced this or have any thoughts as to what is causing this. Thanks.

Have you tried turning the device off and turning it back on? Or clearing the cache or considering a factory reset? Hope this helps. :)

EDIT: Moved to HTC Droid Incredible 2 section. :)

I have turned it off and on, but haven't tried the other things. Won't a factory reset wipe my phone completely? Also, I am running ADW launcher which I'm wondering if that can be causing problems? Thanks.

try clearing the cache and if that is to no avail then try a factory reset. You will lose all your things unless you make a backup. Are you rooted by any chance?

Try clearing the cache and restarting the phone and if that doesn't work try a factory reset. Just make sure you make a backup.

I went to the Verizon store yesterday and there were baffled. They tried calibrating the screen which I hadn't thought of but no luck. I had done a factory reset earlier in the day but the problem continues. It's amazing how fast the phone is after a factory reset!

One thing I wonder if maybe the charger I bought contributed to this problem? I got one of those cheap chargers on Amazon and I've been very happy with it but it is after market and I am not sure about the quality of some of those considering how cheap they are. I know it's sort of an oddball theory but I wonder if that caused the problem.

Anyway, a replacement is on the way.
