Right, my problem didn't begin with Kies at all, i've only ever used it once when i first got the phone and never since. My problem is actually that the USB port is playing up and thinks that the phone is being plugged in and unplugged constantly for about an hour or so after i take it off charge, which ironically drains the battery. I've tried allsorts to solve this, taking the battery out, cleaning the port on the phone, cleaning the plug on the cable, using a different cable and plug, but it looks like i need to send it off, which is where this problem begins.
I would quite like to back my phone up before sending it off. There's a lot of apps and contacts and what not on there that should they just send me back a different phone i'd like to transfer. However, Kies doesn't appear to be working very well.
When i connect my phone when it tells me to it beings up the "Connecting..." screen, and it just never stops connecting. Windows (7, 64bit) pops up telling me that its failed to install the drivers when i plug the phone in too, which i guess might have something to do with it, but i have no idea how to make it install them correctly.
Kies just did an update, so i guess it should be up-to-date and my phone also says its up-to-date when is check for updates.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm really quite stumped here. I will appreciae any help so much.
