Help Can't connect to wifi

I have the Samsung Vibrant but don't use it as my phone but as a media player. I must be connected to wifi to play games and other functions. After coming home from a restaurant where I had connected there, and now it will not connect to my home wifi. It recognizes it is there but won't connect. I tried turning it on and off. I tried removing the battery for a minute and put it back in. I have tried "forgetting" the network and re-entering the password but still will not connect. But it connected to an open network of my neighbors. Any suggestions.
