Can't connect with *228

Got my replacement phone a couple of weeks ago. The first activation went through fine, but now when I dial it the recording says Welcome to Verizon Wireless, your call cannot be completed as dialed.

??
 
What are you trying to do? You trying to update your PRL or are you needing to reprogram your device?
 
Strange. Do you have another device you can try and update PRL on? Im curious if it is just your device or perhaps the area....

Tried another phone... works fine. My phone is rooted, does that make a difference? That makes me a little nervous to call Verizon...
 
Shouldn't matter that your rooted. Do a backup to your current ROM, and then temporarily flash a different one. Then try *228.
