Help Can't copy/move

What I want to do is just simple plug my mobile into my PC via the USB and for the phone to be recognized as a disk drive so I can quickly copy/move stuff but when it's plugged in
and recognised I can't copy/move anything, it says the phone is in use.
I factory reset and it still didn't work, the only way I can do it is if I connect via kies then download it which seems a bit long and winding when i'm trying to do something quick.
Also I have problems with scrolling and pinch and zoom, on several sites i'm getting transparency in the background,it's going back anyway as it's only a day old but I would really like to know about it not being recognised as a disk drive.

When you plug your phone into your pc pull down the notification bar and you should have an option to connect to pc, or something like that. Once you selected this you're phone should show up as a disk drive.

Nope,it's plugged in now,the only option which says,
MTP connected,that's it,i understand what your saying, i've had an Android mob for 2 years previous and there is no other option on the mob.

That's a bit strange not getting that option. It works on mine. Try going to settings, wireless and network, usb utilities. Once selected connect to the pc and see if that works.

It may also be worthwhile going to settings, applications, development and making sure usb debugging is ticked.

Thank you for all your help but the day is almost over and been as the mob is only a day old and has several issues then i've boxed it up got the night as will take delivery in the morning.
Once I get my new one fingers crossed everything will work, even my network provider couldn't hear me when I called them lol plus on 4 other numbers rang I can hear them but they can't heat me grrh, thanks once again, will let you know if this one works.

HELP!
ARRGH!
Well I received another new mob yesterday and all is working apart from one annoying thing.
It happens on all Web pages and it was the same on the previous mob I had for only a day or so, whenever I scroll even slow the page goes transparent on here i'm scrolling down and the bottom half is transparent, its very annoying, anyone have this problem?
