Help Cant download apps from market

When i try to instal any app, it just stays stuck at the 'installing application' screen

Anyone else having the same problem?

I'm having a similar problem - mine is stuck at starting download. Have tried cancelling download and restarting install, trying a different app and turning phone off and on again. Any more ideas?

Did that too but to no avail. Ive got another android phone and the same things happening, stuck at starting download

I think its a google marketplace problem, rather then the phone. It was working flawlessly last week on my Pulse mini phone now its playing up like this.

Very, very annoying. Anyone else experiencing same problem with marketplace?

Do any of you have GoogleMail accounts? My downloads would not begin. I cured it 2 days ago by switching from GoogleMail to Gmail and resetting my Wildfire. Everything works fine now.

My fiance's Wildfire had this problem. Some combination of changing her google account from @googlemail.com to @gmail.com and/or making sure it was unplugged from the USB socket of her PC (it was charging at the time) seemed to fix it. I had to cancel and restart the downloads that had "hung" though.

Haven't had the problem since.

As the above poster mentions, Changing the email address to @gmail.com from @googlemail.com fixes the problem.. To do this, log in to your google account on your computer and change it via the settings.

The only gripe i have with this is, you have to reset your phone (which erases everything) so you can sign back in again with your modified google account which ends in @gmail.com

Reinstalling applications was an inconvenience, but that's the only way to fix the problem of apps not downloading as far as im aware.

even i had the same prb with htc wildfire.... all da apps which i installed din wrk..found only few apps for wildfire which worked .. dun forget to thank me..

A working workaround for me:
Go to AppBrain.com and install their market app, and fast installer, instructions:
AppBrain fast web installer - Install Android apps with one click

you can then browse appbrain and download all the restricted apps directly from the web, you can also use the browser on your phone to install.

btw, google earth won't work. it has compability errors.

I had this problem until i went to menu,settings, applications... and put the tick in Unknown Sources, allow installation of non-Market applications.

Now everything downloads and installs from the Android Market just fine.

Not tried to get app from anywhere else.

if i go to android market in my htc wildfire, what i can see is the screen of android market that says loading. then, after a few seconds, it will go back to my home screen. how can i fix this so that i can use android market features?

I just got my Desire, and of course i would like to try Google Earth, but i cant download it from the market. Adress is @gmai.com. In market search engine Google Earth does not show up. Strange ??!!!

Just got my Wildfire the other day. When I try and download from the Market, OR AppBrain, it comes back with the following: Not Found! The requested item could not be found.

Ideas? I did have the same issue when trying to download Dictionary.com, but have since been able to successfully install it.
