Help Can't edit contacts

I tried editing a contacts phone number on my Optimus S but it says either Facebook contact information is not editable on this device or Yahoo contact information in not editable on this device or both.It will not let me change a contacts phone number.Can someone help me please,several of my contact have new numbers and i can't change them.

Add a new contact for that person thn join them together

Ok thanks for your help.i did what you said and it added the new number but the old number is still there too,anyway to remove the old number?

What are the steps to join those contacts together?

Create new contact>Scroll to the newly added contact>Press Menu>Edit contact>Press menu again>Join>Choose contact to join with>Contacts are now joined
