Help Can't email from Groups

When I select a Group and select "send email" from the menu I get the following message: "cannot find any email accounts configured on this device".

I have gmail configured on my phone and haven't had any problems with it. If I go to "accounts" the gmail account shows up there. I tried re-adding it and the phone tells me the account is already on the phone. Any ideas why "Groups" won't recognize it?

Maybe there is an area in the email settings that allows/disallows group emails? I will try and find something if nobody with more skills helps you out.

If you open up text messaging from your home screen, hit the menu button at the lower left. Then hit the settings button on the bottom right. The 4th line down on the screen should read "Thread group conversations". I believe if you activate that check mark, you should be good to go.

Thanks for the help, but this hasn't solved my problem. Maybe I was unclear. I'm talking about emailing a group directly from my phone contacts. The phone will not offer me the option to email them using Gmail. It will only offer emailing through the native app. I don't have this problem with any of the the other email functions on my phone. Just the groups from contacts. I just don't get it. Any ideas what the problem could be?
