Help Cant Enable WI-Fi

Hi forum,

My S II seems to have developed another odd fault (along with the Screen Burn Issue).

Basically, when i try to enable WI-FI on the phone, i just get a message saying "Error" - when i try to enable it through the settings menu.

If i click the WI-FI button at the top of the pull-down 'drawer' on the home screen, the 'grey' looking button turns slightly colour (i.e. its trying to enable the WI-FI), but then goes grey again.

WI-FI was working maybe a week or so ago and up until yesterday (when i noticed this issue) nothing new had been installed or uninstalled.

I upgraded to the official 2.3.4 android update yesterday in the hope some code had been corrupted which would sort the issue, but no, still the same.

I have also done a full factory reset (inc erase USB data), but still unable to activate WI-FI.

Phone is NOT rooted and never has been.

Has anyone else had this, or can suggest anything i could do to try to get it working again.

With the screen burn issue and this, i am starting to think i may be best going back to carphone warehouse and getting them to send it off to be fixed, before the 1 year warranty runs out.

Thoughts......Suggestions anyone?

Personally, I would go with the CPW idea and get your phone overhauled or replaced whilst still under warranty. Particularly if you have an issue with screen burn.

Hope this helps. :D
