Root Can't Figure Out Performance Issue

When I was on PAC ROM, I tried a pretty fun little game called Piano Tiles 2. It would lag and sputter and mess me up but it was still fun. When I tried SyntheticOS with the bankermod kernel installed, I tried the game and, to my surprise, it played smoothly. I thought it was because of better performance from SyntheticOS. When I later was trying Resurrection Remix, I had an issue with Sim detection, and I remembered reading about deleting the internal Android folder, something I had never done before. I tried it, and it fixed my issue on RR. I started to wonder if there might possibly be any bugs I was unaware of in the other ROM backups I had because of NOT deleting the Android folder. I decided to start from scratch on all the ROMs I like and got rid of my backups. Now I can't get any 5.1 ROM to play Piano Tiles 2 smoothly. I must've flashed different ROMs 20 times yesterday with different GApps, with Nitro Spark and without, with OC Kernels and without, and I just can't seem to get any 5.1 ROM to play the dumb game smoothly. Butternoob v2, on the other hand, with the butterkat kernel, plays it flawlessly. I like butternoob okay, but I prefer 5.1s. I can't figure this one out. I wish I hadn't deleted my SyntheticOS backup, but I did. If anyone has time to try Piano Tiles 2 on their 5.1 ROM to see if it plays smoothly I would sure appreciate it. If it does, maybe you could let me know which GApps you are using and any other flashes you might have used when you installed the ROM. It's not that I really need that game to play smoothly, it's just that I want my phone to perform as well as it can, and that game was a good test. If anyone can help, please do, because I just can't figure this one out.

Did you check the reviews at play store?..
Maybe it had a bad update and you're not the only person with the issue....
Or try it with BUTTERNOOB ....
From what I've read (everything).... There are no issues with anything on that ROM....
Sure it's "horribly uncool kit Kat".. but our black slab has no issues with it until you make some....
Experience.. I speak from
I managed to get it to tell me that I ran out of space ...two apps after the flash....
But, as a few here know..... I'm a special case

Yeah, it plays great on butternoob, but it also played great on SyntheticOS before I decided to fix what wasn't broken.. Lol.

The lag I was talking about is when you hit the key right on time and it doesn't play the note right on time. Also the flow of the keys from top to bottom just doesn't flow smoothly... It sputters a bit.

You know, I'd use butternoob and love it if only it had swipe to unlock and screen density settings to adjust the DPI. I like my DPI at 280 or less, otherwise I feel like my phone is made by Fisher Price.

You know any good ways to add these features to butternoob with apps or hacks?

You can use Xposed with appsettings to change dpi per app

You can edit build.prop to change whole device dpi (I've had soft bricks on other devices trying different values out)

Can you recover from a soft-brick without a computer? Recovery still boot?
