Root Can't get any ROMs to work

phelpst

Lurker
I've got a rooted Triumph that went stupid today and everything I've tried has had the same conclusion - failure. I can get to the recovery screen but any ROM that I try to load fails. Some times after rebooting I just get the "Google" image. Other times I'll get the boot image from Mod9 or something like that.

I've tried to use my recovery files as well but that hasn't worked either. I'm sure I'm not being detailed enough so ask away. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what you mean by "Google Image" but anyway... what recovery are you using? And are you trying to do a fresh flash of the Rom or restore a nandroid back up of these Roms?

ps, this should be in the all things root forum.
I expect this thread will get moved sooner or later. :D

I guess image wasn't the best term to describe what I see. It's just the word "Google" in white letters on a black background.

I didn't keep track of all the recovery files I've used. I was running CM7. I can't even get this thing to go back to the factory stock OS.

After the phone crashed I tried to load on my backups but that didn't work. From there I tried to load new ROMs. Again, nothing works. I can get to the setup screen (power, V+, V-) but everything I've tried so far has failed. I've tried a few CM9 ROMs as well.

SA-WEEET ! ! ! I'm back up and running! Don't know why this one worked but it did and I'm not complaining! I'm basically starting over. I can get a restore from over a year ago to work but, eh, I'll see what else is out there.

Right now I have this ROM installed. BSydz Sharp Triumph Froyo Deodexed Ver8.

Have any other ROM suggestions?
