Root Can't Get Cm6 to work.....

I have the ascend from metro pcs. i been trying forever to get the cm6 to work but it just will not. it gets to the cm6 screen, then it just reboots itself over and over. at one point it went thru, but then it froze then back to rebooting again.

i flash the latest cm6 file / gaap with cwm 3.0.2.4 but still no luck,

i read in the paw site to use CWM 2.5.1.8 , but i still get the same results.

i use Tokenpoke step by step instruction to do this.

When you are formating data, system, etc. are they actually going through. Look at the bottom of cwm when you format them and make sure there are no errors, sometimes system will error. Just reboot cwm and try it all over again. When i get the system error it will cause my phone to just sit at the logo screen but redoing the flash should fix it.
 
there is no error, at all when i format it. i have done it three times already same procedure. i make sure to wipe everything out, including dalvich
then flash it. should i just reflash it without wiping again? or would it be better to flash to stock then flash it?

Always wipe. How are you downloading the zip, comp or phone. You may be getting a bad zip, losing packets during the download. I doubt you need to flash back to stock its not going to help. Maybe try to redownload the zip and go back through the directions and make sure your not overlooking something. I know it works i have flashed like 20 times, not an exaggeration, between roms and have never reflashed stock.
 
im downloading the zip with my comp.

i give it another try, i use the 2.5.1.8 CWM

then flash it with the new updated cm6 file and gaap. to see.

YOU AREN'T THE ONLY ONE. I just spent 2 days trying, but I finally got it. Your problem is probably the same as mine. Our phones cannot handle being over clocked. Pip is going to release a not over clocked build. I talked to him today. It may take a day or two though.
But in the meantime try CM7. It isn't over clocked. That is what I did and found out my problem because CM7 worked fine until I tried to over clock it.
There are 4 known versions of our phone and some like ours can't be pushed to the limits that others can.

So, there's no fix yet? I had the same problem... vicious reboot cycle with no specific cause... Had to go back to Icarus.
 
I went from the stock mod to icarus to cm6 in 10 days..both roms installed with no problems..the only thing i had to do was put the pbone in airplane mode and reboout..but i used the cwm version on both from the icarus guide..maybe you need to install icarus then cm6? If you havent already...

YES!!! CM6 is working now without rebooting all the time. I installed SETCpu per your recommendations, set max speed to 600 and voila!
When all the bugs for CM7 are resolved, I'll definitively flash to it!

Only thing really missing from Cm7 now that I can tell is camcorder. Besides that it's super stable for me. ^.^ It feels good too on my phone. Really smooth and efficient. It's faster than the previous one was.
