Help Can't Get E-Mails To Sync Properly

Hey all,

I have both the native e-mail app and the GMAIL app running 2 accounts (the same) so when I get an e-mail on one, I get it on the other. This is not the arrangement I want, but I'm hoping there might be some way that I can configure it properly.

What I'm looking for:
1. App pulls for e-mails like the GMAIL client (native client is way behind)
2. App that offers a combined mailbox view like the native client (GMAIL client doesn't seem to offer this).

Can anyone provide some instruction on how to achieve either of these effects with the opposite e-mail app?

The "K-9 Mail" app will do what you want however if your non-Gmail account does not support "push" (i.e. IMAP, Exchange, etc...), then you will only receive mail per the sync schedule.
