Help Can't get fast boot. Please help

Where I stuck is when I type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img in DOS shell. It just diplays forever like

<Waiting for device>

Anyone got any idea to pass this thing?

windows is not picking up the adb driver for fastboot.
read the various issues and fixes with adb/flashing/rooting on this forums#there are about 20 topics

you are rebooting the phone into fast boot i take it?
call key, ok key, hangup key all at once?

Fastboot is call key + hangup key. No need to hold OK.
 
Thanks guys, I have done all being root process.

For now, I got *.ttf which support my language already. But the problem is how I can copy and replace the current fonts in /system/fonts?
