Root Can't get into recovery

I've been having a lot of problems with my DINC lately so last night I decided to back up everything in TB and flash the new stable rom from CM via a complete wipe in Rom Manager. The rom wasn't stable to for me the first time I tried it with just the upgrade but I was hoping a full wipe would clear up any issues. It didn't though. My phone is freezing up again so I want to again restore to my backup that I created in Rom Manager before flashing the new rom. Problem is, I can't get into recovery. When I hit volume down and power it brings up the correct screen but when I scroll down to recovery and hit power it takes me into HBOOT, not recovery. In fact, I can't do anything on the main screen. Selected wipe or factory reset brings me back to the HBOOT screen also. I got into Rom Manager and tried restoring the backup from there but the same thing happened there. It rebooted my phone to HBOOT instead of recovery. Any ideas?

Okay, I flashed clockwork from ROM Manager and I was able to get into recovery and restore the backup I made yesterday. However, most of my apps are now missing...and I can't run TB or ROM Manager anymore b/c my phone says I don't have root. When I go to HBOOT it says I have S-Off though but terminal emulator is showing that I don't have root. Any ideas? After I put the new rom on yesterday and was having problems I decided to do a FULL format of my SD card where most of my apps were stored. But I copied everything over to my PC first and then formatted and then pasted everything back on my SD card exactly like it was before. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Nope. Downloaded it from the market and now I'm back in business. I'm restoring my apps with TB now so hopefully it will work this time. Last time I restored all my apps and then after a reboot most of them disappeared and then that's when all this crazy stuff started happening. I'll report back if they are any issues. I can't wait for next month. My poor DINC can't take it anymore. I'm going to get either the Nexus or the Vigor. Not sure which yet.
