Root Can't get into Recovery...

Alright so I'm new to this root thing, just a forewarning.

I have rooted my droid x and flash about 3 ROMs. The method I used to root is from Roooler's #3 Manual root.

I had flashed Liquid GB ROM v 3.1, and SSX ROM 2.2 from VoidedSaint's sticky. Both of which worked great. I really loved Liquid but wanted to see if I like some other ROMs more. Shop around if you will. Next I flashed MIUI 1.10.21. This work great as well. Although, when I decided that I enjoyed Liquid most and tried to flash back to it, Bootstrapper or MIUI (not sure which) wouldn't let me get into Bootstrap Recovery...

I had searched the forum looking for a solution and it seemed that people were having the same problem (maybe not but sounded like it to me) and fixing it by pressing the volume down key when the LED lit during reboot. I tried this but turns out that my LED doesn't light when I boot. So I'm completely lost and feel this is way over my head. Any Ideas?

Also i don't know if this is part of the same issue but, I can't get my google account to sync. Says that it might be a temp. error..

Thanks

what you can try is:

download terminal emulator from market

type in
su
reboot recovery

and thats all you need to do

usually if you use that older version of miui you can just hold down power, and select cwm recovery

Ok Think I got it. you should have a superuser app on one of your screens open it up goto settings change root permisions from off to on

i do apologize for the delay in responding to you, but yes flyingfish is right, you need to enable superuser permission if you havent yet.

in miui you have to enable root permission whenever you do anything root wise

You can also press the volume-down button when the blue led flashes at boot to get a menu that will take you to recovery. :D
